It has come to our attention that there has been a breach of personal data due to unauthorized access to the multilingual online booking system server (English, Chinese and Korean) used for our hotel operated by Fujita Kanko Inc.
Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo had been outsourcing the operation of the multilingual online booking system to FASTBOOKING Japan K.K.,whose parent company (FASTBOOKING (HQ: Paris, France)) manages the server that was subject to unauthorized access, until February 28, 2018 .
FASTBOOKING has investigated the intrusion and reports that the personal data of 255 customers who used the multilingual online booking system between May 1, 2017 and June 19, 2018, and the credit card information of 648 customers who used the multilingual online booking system in or before August 2017, were breached.
Although we have not received any reports of customers being affected by the misuse of their breached personal data, we have taken measures to shut down the multilingual online booking system operated by FASTBOOKING until we confirm that it is secure, and will work to prevent incidents of this nature from recurring.
We offer our sincerest apologies to all customers and stakeholders affected by this incident.
Please note that our Japanese online booking system and the multilingual online system since March 1, 2018 use different systems and servers from that of the FASTBOOKING, and have not been affected.

Regarding the multilingual online booking system for Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo, with the exception of certain reservations* through FASTBOOKING, since March 1, 2018 we have been utilizing a different system that continues to ensure secure reservations.

As for prior reservations, since we are ceasing use of FASTBOOKING until its security has been confirmed, reservations made up to February 28, 2018 cannot be changed or cancelled via our website.
